I have no clue where the Bangalore Zoo is, not sure if also exists (it should actually, all big cities have one).
This is a different zoo - a human zoo.
Years back, I had seen Satyajit Ray's Chiriyakhana. I remember Uttam Kumar as Byomkesh in the movie.
This weekend I saw another version of Chiriyakhana. This had Gaurab Chakraborty as Byomkesh. The youngest actor to have have played the detective, till date.
Ray's version had great acting and a good script but Ray deviated from the main story. This stuck to the plot of the book, but the acting / direction was not that great.
If Sunayana is said to be the master of make up, they should have tried their makeup / hair styling skills to give a different look to the actress. Adding Buck teeth did not really help Sampurna Lahiri (the actress playing Sunayana in the series) become a different character.
This was a nice afternoon watch.
Evening was another thriller watch. Jay Baba Rudranath. This also had a Ray connection.
This was a movie made by Anjan Dutta, paying a tribute to Satyajit Ray's Feluda.
It was nice, but not great. If one has seen/ read Jay Baba Felunath, then one can guess what is going to happen.
Need to watch out for good thrillers to watch over the weekend.
