Day 1 :Dhanteras
Dhanteras marks the first day of the five-day-long Diwali Festival. Dhanteras Festival, also known as Dhantrayodashi or Dhanwantari Triodasi, falls on the auspicious 13th lunar day of Krishna Paksha in the Hindu month of Kartik (October/ November).
Day 2 :Narakchaturdasi
The day before Diwali is celebrated as NarakChaturdasi. The story goes that the demon king Narakasur and his liberation. This is the day when Kali Puja starts and culminates with the Amavasya and Diwali.
Day 3 :Deepawali
Day 4: Govardhan puja
Not sure if this is linked to Krishna. Here in the South, it is the worship of the cows.
Day 5 :Bhatridwitiya / bhai dooj
